Publication Design
Print projects exploring form, layout, and concept
Moon in Motion pairs a booklet with a custom sleeve and rotating diagram to illustrate each phase, while Classics Reimagined reinterprets familiar titles through bold, contemporary visual systems. Across both, I use format, typography, and composition to shape how each story is experienced.
Moon in Motion
This project involved designing a piece in any medium to describe a natural process. I chose the lunar eclipse. Using sourced text, I created a booklet, a sleeve, and an interactive diagram that work together to explain the phases of the eclipse.
A black cardstock sleeve unfolds to reveal the title. Inside, a rotating diagram illustrates the seven phases of a lunar eclipse. The inner booklet, printed on ivory stock, expands on the process in greater detail.
Classics Redesigned
In this project, I reimagined classic book covers by creating one with vector elements, one with raster elements, and one combining both. After researching each novel’s context and themes, I focused on communicating its core ideas while making it appealing to younger audiences who might overlook classic literature.
